Okay! No problem! I really love your cosplay, by the way!! One of the best pony ones I’ve seen ^_^
This past weekend was my first time going to Anime North in Toronto. I’d heard about the convention before, but I’d never been able to go before. But since I can’t go to Otakon this year, I decided to go to Anime North instead. I’d never been to Canada before, which is kind of sad, since I live in New York. I took the Megabus there, and flew back. The Megabus was really cramped and it got kind of uncomfortable pretty fast. For a short, 2-3 hour trip to Philadelphia, or DC, it’s still a great choice. But for the 10 hours to Toronto, it’s much better to fly from New York.

On Friday, I wore my cosplay (Korra from The Legend of Korra). The wig was uncomfortable, so I didn’t wear the costume again after Friday. I thought it would rain, but I also thought I’d be able to be inside most of the day, so I didn’t bring an umbrella with me. It didn’t rain, but I still should have brought an umbrella, because they didn’t let us inside until 5PM, and I ended up getting a pretty bad sunburn (though it would have been strange to have Korra with a frilly Lolita parasol).
I was worried about food at the convention. It was located a while outside of Toronto, and a lot of convention centers that are not in cities tend to not have much food available except for bad, overpriced french fries and such in the convention center. But this convention center had several food places nearby, so it was convenient in that sense.

When we were let inside, I went straight to the autographs area. At every other con I have been to, they have one line for autographs, and you go down the row of guests and get autographs from each of them. At this convention, there was a separate line for each guest. I was able to get J. Michael Tatum’s autograph on Hetalia Season 2, and I gave him a birthday gift.
The con did have multiple guests on panels, though, which was nice. Usually cons put guests on panels solo, and it was nice to see Tatum with Brina Palencia and Monica Rial on a panel.
I didn’t take any video of the first two voice actor panels I went to because my camera’s battery was too low. Someone else probably did, so you can still probably find it on youtube. Those three are amazing, though!!

So my birthday is in 12 days. I’ll be 21. It’s an interesting feeling… I’ll be old enough to drink.
I decided to make some resolutions, like people do on New Years, but to start on my birthday.
1. I will work out everyday
~ When I’m in Italy in July, I will do this by walking around the town I’ll be in every day, with my camera. I’ll post the pictures I take on Tumblr, of course.
2. I will write at least 500 words a day, number to change when I think I should increase it. I will also do at least one piece of visual art/crafts a day, whether that is drawing, sewing, making something else, or whatever. I will post these when I feel like it, but not necessarily every day.
~ When I have a lot of school work, I will allow myself to do just one or the other, depending on what I feel like, but I will still make sure I do at least one.
I also want to take better care of myself, in ways I’m not going to go into completely here… but yeah.
Also: I ordered these circle lenses and I’m going to do a review of them. There’s a promotion on the website, if you buy them and review them, you get a discount for your next order. That will be coming soon, as soon as I get my new memory card for my camera…
And as always, most of my posts will be over at RedFieryPassion.
I’ve been unwatching, unfollowing, and unliking people all day.
If I unfollowed you here or anywhere else, it doesn’t mean I don’t like you.
If I don’t get super excited by most of your posts, I’ve unfollowed you.
I’ve unfollowed a lot of people whose work I like because their personal posts annoy me.
Voice actors, even.
No one from Tumblr was annoying me, though. Anyone from here I unfollowed, it was because their posts were just not my thing. (mostly fandoms I don’t watch/read/etc…)
So yeah…
(Also, if anyone’s wondering where I’ve been… I’ve been over at my new blog, come find me there. Posting this here because most of the people I unfollowed follow me here and not there, and I just wanted to let them (6 or 7 of them, I think) know I’m not mad at them or anything… )
Does anyone know of a good place to find international penpals? I’d like to find someone to write (physical, snail-mail) letters with, preferably in the UK or Japan (but really anywhere would be cool). I googled for something like that, but all that came up were dating sites and LJ comms that hadn’t been used much in years…
More Grell doll photos for Grell Appreciation Weekend~

Some things I’ve been posting on my other blog. Come check it out!
(2nd of 3 sets here, the first was posted last night, the 3rd is coming later today)
can we just get this straight? if you message me on tumblr you are not annoying me i am a lonely person and any form of human contact is a god send
Bento lunch for today. Broccoli, tamagoyaki, grilled shrimp, + rice.
This was my first time making tamagoyaki (a Japanese rolled omelet type thing). It came out better than I thought it would. I’m very picky about what sort of egg things I’ll eat, and I’ll usually never eat eggs that aren’t hot, but this was good at room temperature. I used the recipe from the JustBento.com book.
The grilled shrimp also came out nicer than I thought they would. I modified the way I usually make them using a tip from the same book, and I like the way they turned out. The broccoli was my least favorite part, not because I don’t like vegetables, though. I love vegetables, I just didn’t have a lot of options in my fridge of what kind to make, so I ended up going with some frozen broccoli that I wasn’t sure how to prepare (usually for frozen things I follow the directions on the package, but for this one the directions were for using the whole package and I only wanted this much so…)
And the rice with some furikake on it. I’m trying to eat more natural foods (and use more natural makeup, too), and there was only one kind of furikake at the Japanese grocery store I go to that didn’t have a lot of additives and such. So I just sprinkled a little of that on here….
The box is a new one I got on sale at the same Japanese grocery store. I’ve been wanting a slim one like this for a while… I was going to get this one I saw online that was really nice, but then I saw this one on sale. It’s not as nice, but it’s nice enough for a third of the price, so I got it instead of the one online.
Other news: I’m going to Italy in July! I’ll be there the entire month for a study abroad program. Bad news is I won’t be able to go to Otakon, but I don’t really mind.
I plan to take a lot of pictures while I’m there… I need to get a better grasp on using my camera, though, first. I’ll be taking pictures of buildings around the city until then to practice. Most of those photos will probably end up on my other blog (redfierypassion.tumblr.com) so follow me there to see them. I’m really excited!
